MANJONJO PRIMARY SCHOOL
Manjonjo Primary School in Murewa East. The School is 95kms from Harare and among one of the oldest school in Murewa.
The school was established in 1955 by the Salvation Army. It was closed in 1958 and re-opened in 1960, now by the Roman Catholic church. The School has three classroom blocks and 5 old staff quarters. The School has remained in this condition because of the poor community most of whom are peasant farmers and struggle to pay fees.
The school now participates in Netball, Soccer, Handball, Volleyball, Basketball and Rugby. There is great need for proper sports facilities, uniforms, Balls (all sports) Nets and equipment. The school does not have Cricket.
Basically the school is still beyond the required standards hence they are in need of a Durawall, Electric powered borehole, ECD blocks, Administration block and toilets. If possible there is need to assist pupils with School fees since it is the reason the School is failing to improve. The pass rate for 2020 was 38% and is contributed by failure to do e-learning hence there is also the need for laptops at the School.
Manjonjo Primary School covers villages around like Mwanza, Gwazvo, Rusike and Casino as well as Manjonjo village.
Simba Sports Without Boundaries CIC is looking for sponsors and well wishers to help change lifes in the rural areas of Zimbabwe.
